One of the many services we provide to our clients is the installation of paint protection film in Jackson, WY. This film is called the 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Film. In fact, 3M invented this entire line of products, also known simply as “Clear Bra” or “PPF.”
Originally, PPF was designed to help protect helicopter blades against sand blasting and other elements and dangers during the Vietnam War. As the technology and design of cars, motorcycles, boats, RVs, airplanes and trucks has evolved over time, PPF has become more and more widely used to offer this same sort of protection to all types of vehicles. Now, 3M offers a new product specifically designed for standard cars: the 3M Scotchgard PRO Series Paint Protection Film.
This product protects cars from rock chips, scratches, bird droppings, bug stains and other types of road debris that are common here in Wyoming. Its self-healing technology helps to dissipate scratches with hot water and heat from the engine and the sun. It also has an outstanding level of clarity, which blends into your car’s clear finish, making it virtually invisible. There’s a reason it’s known as the “Clear Bra,” after all—it provides incredible protection that you simply cannot see.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, 3M strongly believes in this product. It has an industry standard seven-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling or peeling. Coming from a company with more than 110 years of business experience and trust, this type of warranty means a great deal.
So what are some of the most common applications for the PPF product? Here are just a few:
- Upper Kit: The Upper Kit application covers the hood and fender tips up to 24”, as well as side mirror backs. Full hood and fender coverage is also available. The average cost for upper kit service is between $250 and $350.
- Lower Kit: The Lower Kit application covers the front bumper, but does not include the bumper grill. However, bumper grill coverage is available for an added fee. The price for the standard lower kit service ranges from $250 to $550.
- Wear and Tear Kit: The Wear and Tear Kit application covers the head lights, cab top, A-pillars, door cups, door edges, rocker panels, luggage bumper, mirror backs and wheel guards. Its average cost is $20 to $50 per extra add-on you select.
We also have several special packages available. If you mention you saw this on our website, you can get 10 percent off any of these packages, which include the Teewinot Package (the Wear and Tear kit plus the Upper Kit), the Rendezvous Package (the Teewinot Package plust he Lower Kit), and the Grand Package (the Rendezvous Package with full hood and front fender coverage).
