Alpine HDZ-Series 100-Watt RMS Hi-Resolution Aftermarket 6-1/2-Inch 2-Way Component Door Speaker System Using expertise gleaned from over five decades of crafting premium car audio products and trickle-down engineering and design from the Ultra Hi-Res AlpineF#1Status system technologies, the Alpine Status system features exceptional tooling and rich build quality for the best possible sound reproduction. Each component was hand-picked from the highest-quality materials for the highest in-class audio performance, that when used as a complete system, can achieve 192kHz/24bit playback. Drawing inspiration from the AlpineF#1Status system, the HDZ-65C features a unified carbon composite cone construction throughout the speaker components for a unified timbre identity. Alpine Proprietary Double Gathered Edge Surround technology gives the speakers ultra-low distortion and linear diaphragm movement that reproduces music true to the artist’s original intentions. Custom developed for Hi-Res Audio Playback, the HDZ-65C has an ultra-wide bandwidth of 55Hz-40kHz which is perfectly suited for accurate reproduction of even the highest quality of studio recordings. Each speaker component is designed to cover a wider range of playback spectrum giving the tuner a wider range of adjustability. The Alpine Status speaker line features two fitments for flexible installation options including a custom-fix model for custom applications and factory-fit models that were intentionally designed to fit into most factory speaker holes without custom work. The HDZ-65C is a factory-fit model that includes a 6.5-inch mid-bass driver and a 1-inch coaxial high-range driver. The C7-650cw component woofer is capable of operating in a 3-way system, with a midrange and tweeter, or with only a tweeter in a 2-way configuration. Engineered from the ground up, it has exceptional linear excursion capability and outstanding linearity, resulting in solid mid-bass and pure, precise, mid-range performance. Distortion and non-linearities have been minimized through critical optimization of dynamic motor and suspension behaviors. Passive crossover networks are not included with C7 drivers, as they are designed for active systems. Instead, we recommend a high-quality tuning DSP, such as the JL Audio TwK™ 88 or D8, and a dedicated amplifier channel for each C7 loudspeaker in the system. Precise setup of equalization, delay and crossover filters will ensure optimal in-vehicle performance. C7-650cw Design Notes:Cone and Dust Cap: Vacuum-formed, mineral-filled polypropylene material offers excellent damping and low mass. The cone body features a gentle curvilinear profile to optimize response. A specially shaped dust cap attaches to the cone body and the voice coil former to improve high frequency behavior.
