600W x 1 @ 2Ω

Amplifiers with a Power Output Rating of 600-Watts x 1-Channel, 2-Ohm Final Impedance

Amplifiers with a Power Output Rating of 600-Watts x 1-Channel, 2-Ohm Final Impedance

RMS power: This rating of any amplifier is the continuous power rating that an amp is designed to output at a maximum continued volume rating. The RMS power specification is one of two numbers to go by when pairing your speakers with an amplifier, not the only 2 but a good starting point. As an example, a speaker driver with a 600-Watt, or 600W for short, RMS rating should be paired with a six-hundred-watt RMS amplifier. We usually recommend an amp to be over powered by 10% RMS so that the power-plant does not have to work at 100% capacity to get 100-percent efficiency from your speakers. This will keep your amplifier from overheating during long periods of continuous operation.

Ohms: Is the resistance rating of an amp and is the second most important when pairing drivers with amplifiers. A power-plant that is 600W @ 2-ohm might only be 300-Watts @ 4Ω. When purchasing an amplifier, the correct pairing of a speaker’s RMS wattage and Ohm ratings with an amp’s output power rating is absolutely essential.

Alpine S2-Series Subwoofer Amplifier, 600-Watts Mono @ 1 or 2-Ohm or 330-Watts @ 4-Ohm Impedance Alpine's S-Series S2-A60M 600W Mono Amplifier is the perfect solution for unparalleled power and performance on a budget. With a power output of 600W at a 1ohm or 2ohm drive, this mono amp is capable of driving even the most demanding subwoofers, delivering clean and distortion-free bass for a wide range of applications. Plus, its compact design makes it easy to install in any vehicle. New to the Next-Generation S-Series amplifiers is a new selectable remote turn-on circuit, a three-position switch that ensures the amplifier turns on and off at the proper times. This design is crucial with newer, in-vehicle technology and allows for proper integration with any factory or aftermarket system. The amplifier was intentionally designed with sound controls located on the side panels, instead of the top panel, making it easier to access gain and crossover controls when installed under vehicle seats or in shallow-depth locations. Removable end caps were added to cover the side controls and connections, providing a clean, sleek finish to the amplifier. With the capacity to deliver 600 watts of power at 1ohm, the S2-A60M is fully equipped to provide ample power to either a single Alpine S-Series 10" or 12" Subwoofer, or two S-Series 8" Subwoofers, ensuring exceptional sound quality and optimal performance.
