There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.
The C3-525cw is a 5.25-inch (130 mm) component woofer with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-molded polymer basket. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.
Woofer grilles are included, each consisting of a black grille tray and a black steel mesh grille with an electroformed JL Audio logo.

C1-Series 6x9-Inch 60-Watt Coaxial Speaker System, 3-Way
C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed for easy fit behind factory grilles.
To facilitate fit, spacer adaptor rings are included allowing the C1-690tx to be installed in bottom-mount applications.
C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modeling and JL Audio's expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly, while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound. At the core of the C1-690tx is a proprietary, stamped, steel 6 x 9-inch (150 x 230 mm) oval frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control motion and prevent impact between the voice coil and the back plate. Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
Equipped with dual true, edge-driven, aluminum dome tweeters, the C1-690tx stands apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and separation. The design of each tweeter delivers inherently excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. Both high-frequency drivers also benefit from the damping of silk surround suspensions and Ferrofluid in the voice coil gaps, along with the superior strength of neodymium magnetics. A true, mixed order filter network is employed to further enhance smoothness and improve power handling.

These 6.5-inch speakers in the SPV-65X-WRA are tuned specifically for the JK’s in-cabin environment and fit into the factory speaker locations for an easy update that will impress your ears.
The SPV-65X-WRA comes with adapters that allow the speakers to be installed as a component set by mounting the tweeters into the tombstones of older JKs or onto the dash for newer JKs. For older JKs that have a sound bar, the adapters convert the speakers into a coaxial design so they can be installed into the sound bar.

Many people mistakenly believe that an oval speaker cannot perform as well as a round one, leading to many instances of 5.25-inch speakers being installed into 5 x 7-inch openings. JL Audio has put in the engineering time and effort to create fantastic-sounding speakers that drop into oval openings and deliver equivalent performance to JL's 6.5-inch (165 mm) round speaker systems... guaranteed. So, don't make the mistake of losing cone area and efficiency by stepping down to a smaller round speaker... these ovals are as impressive as our round format systems.
The C2-570x system features 5 x 7 / 6 x 8-inch (125 x 180 mm) woofers with mineral-filled polypropylene cones, long excursion capabilities and stamped steel frames. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.

C3-Series 6.5-Inch 75-Watt Convertible Component Speaker System
There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.
The C3-650 system features 6.5-inch (165 mm) component woofers with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-molded polymer baskets. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.
The C3 tweeters are built with 1-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver powerful, extended response, on and off axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. They can also be mounted onto the woofers in a coaxial format using the included fixtures.
C3 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!

C7 is the pinnacle of JL Audio automotive loudspeaker design, benefiting from their most advanced development tools and a complete commitment to precision manufacturing.
The C7-350cm component midrange is designed to operate in a 3-way system, with a woofer and tweeter. Conceived and purpose-built from the ground up, it offers exceptional transient response and outstanding linearity, resulting in unsurpassed clarity and natural mid-range reproduction. Distortion and non-linearities have been minimized through critical optimization of dynamic motor and suspension behaviors.
Passive crossover networks are not included with C7 drivers, as they are designed for active systems. Instead, we recommend a high-quality tuning DSP, such as the JL Audio TwK™ 88 or D8, and a dedicated amplifier channel for each C7 loudspeaker in the system. Precise setup of equalization, delay and crossover filters will ensure optimal in-vehicle performance.
C7-350cm Design Notes:Cone and Dust Cap: Vacuum-formed, mineral-filled polypropylene material offers excellent damping and low mass. The cone body features a gentle curvilinear profile to optimize response. A concave dust cap further improves high frequency behavior.
Suspension design: The moving assembly is suspended and damped via a linear profile spider formed from a Nomex®/polycotton blend, and a positive-roll, rubber surround. The two combine to provide optimum damping without prematurely restricting excursion.
Motor Design: The C7-350cm employs a high-density magnetic circuit with a high-grade, neodymium magnet, and a specially machined, U-Yoke motor topology. The Next-Generation R-Series speakers now come in upgraded 'Pro' models in addition to the standard model lineup. The pro models utilize a highly rigid, die-cast aluminum basket that eliminates flexing and resonance during playback to ensure the highest quality sound performance.
The new lightweight and rigid glass fiber-reinforced cone material allows for extreme movement and low distortion which results in an incredibly accurate and clean sound during playback.

Drawing inspiration from the AlpineF#1Status system, the HDZ-653S features a unified carbon composite cone construction throughout the speaker components for a unified timbre identity. Alpine Proprietary Double Gathered Edge Surround technology gives the speakers ultra-low distortion and linear diaphragm movement that reproduces music true to the artist’s original intentions.
Custom developed for Hi-Res Audio Playback, the HDZ-653S has an ultra-wide bandwidth of 55Hz-40kHz which is perfectly suited for accurate reproduction of even the highest quality of studio recordings. Each speaker component is designed to cover a wider range of playback spectrum giving the tuner a wider range of adjustability.
The Alpine Status speaker line features two fitments for flexible installation options including a custom-fix model for custom applications and factory-fit models that were intentionally designed to fit into most factory speaker holes without custom work. The HDZ-653S is a custom-fit model that includes a 6.5- inch Mid-Bass driver, a 3.5-inch Midrange driver, and 1.25-inch High-Range driver.
The Alpine Status System is sold separately and can be used to build a custom sound system. Three sets of true 4V preamp outputs are included to add additional amplifiers if more power is needed. For best results, install the complete Alpine Status system together as a full system to achieve the highest in-class audio performance only second to the Ultra High-Resolution AlpineF#1System.
