TW1-Series 400-Watt Amplified 12-Inch Ported Subwoofer System
With MicroSub+™ systems, the power is built right into the subwoofer system. Housing a proprietary Class D amplifier, this incredible subwoofer system utilizes JL's exclusive DCD™ amplifier technology to extract maximum output from its specially engineered, ultra low-impedance TW1 driver. By combining direct power conversion with an ultra-high current output section, DCD™ amplifiers are free of conventional switching power supplies, enabling them to generate remarkable power with unprecedented efficiency.
Key to the enclosure’s performance is its efficient slot-ported design and precise tuning of its 12TW1 subwoofer driver. Extensive interior bracing permits the use of thinner wall material that maximizes the enclosure's internal volume relative to its exterior volume. The port wraps around two walls of the enclosure to produce the necessary low tuning frequency that ensures excellent extension and response smoothness. The flared port entry and exit further enhance sound quality by minimizing air-flow noises through the port.
Integration to OEM and aftermarket head units is a snap thanks to a variety of input options and automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC offset sensing). Also included is a variable frequency low-pass filter (50-200 Hz), along with output polarity control switch. Adding an optional RBC-1 remote level control (sold separately) lets you control subwoofer levels directly from the driver’s seat. A quick-disconnect power connector makes it easy to remove the subwoofer when you need the extra space. As with all MicroSub™ systems, these amplified versions produce the kind of output and extension normally associated with much larger systems.
Note: DCD™ amplified systems use very specific components. Never use a DCD™ amplifier or its companion subwoofer(s) with incompatible, non-DCD™ products. Doing so will void the warranty and may cause severe damage.

The 12" W1v3 automotive subwoofer driver by JL Audio is a lightweight 12-inch driver with excellent performance capabilities at a moderate 300-Watts. The design of the chassis allows an average mounting depth with no pole-vent on the back side of the magnet so the rear of the motor structure can be placed directly against an enclosure boundary. This 12" subwoofer can reproduce sub-bass with shocking extension and quality.
The JL Audio 12W1v3-2 and 12W1v3-4 subwoofers are best used with an amplifier in the 75W - 300W range and is optimized to operate in a compact 1.10 cu. ft. (31.5 l) sealed enclosure.

JD-Series 75-Watt x 4-Channel Class-D Full-Range Amplifier
Utilizing JL Audio's exclusive NexD™ high-speed switching technologies, the JD400/4 amplifier is engineered to deliver loads of clean power, with excellent efficiency and low distortion. This little guy churns out 100 watts of audio from each of its four channels into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD) and is fully bridgeable, so it can be used as a 3-channel amplifier, or as a 2-channel amplifier producing a whopping 200W x 2 into 4 ohms.
The JD400/4’s controls can be found on the input panel of the amplifier, with all speaker and power connections located along the opposite end of the extruded aluminum chassis. The Evolution C2 systems deliver sparkling high-frequency detail, smooth mid-range and powerful mid-bass, thanks to real silk dome tweeters and precision-engineered woofer designs.
The C2-690tx system features 6 x 9-inch (150 x 230 mm) woofers with mineral-filled polypropylene cones, long excursion capabilities and stamped steel frames. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems.
The 6 x 9-inch (150 x 230 mm) format is a direct fit in many vehicles.
The Mid-Range driver is ferrofluid-cooled, with a 2-inch Mylar® cone diaphragm to smoothly bridge the gap between the woofer and the dome tweeter.
Tweeters are mounted next to the mid-range driver and built with 0.75-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver smooth, extended response, on and off axis. The small size of the C2 tweeter minimizes tweeter protrusion, allowing C2 coaxials to fit behind most factory speaker grilles.

This powerful slot-ported BassWedge™ subwoofer system delivers awesome output at an unsurpassed value.
The slot-port runs along the bottom of the enclosure and fires on the same plane as the woofer to produce excellent extension and response smoothness. The port mouth is flared to minimize air-flow noises.
The ultra-versatile BassWedge™ shape has extended sides so that it can be placed with the woofer firing out or straight down, off the floor of the vehicle. JL Audio's patented High Output Enclosures are designed to deliver the ultimate high-performance bass experience with a rare combination of superb sound quality and awesome output.
JL Audio's patented, chamber-coupled port design (U.S. patent #6,625,292) wraps around the inner enclosure boundary and terminates on one side of the woofer, coupling the port output to the woofer's direct output. This also provides the necessary surface area and port length to maximize the performance of the W3v3 driver.
This enclosure design has been carefully engineered to the optimum ported alignment for the 10W3v3, and has been fine-tuned through extensive real-world listening. This efficient system will produce superb output with as little as 150W of amplifier power, but performs best with 300 - 500W of power.

C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed for easy fit behind factory grilles.
C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modeling and JL Audio's expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly, while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound. At the core of the C1-525x is a proprietary, stamped, steel 5.25-inch (130 mm) frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control motion and prevent impact between the voice coil and the back plate. Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
Equipped with a true, edge-driven, aluminum dome tweeter, C1 speakers stand further apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and definition. The tweeter’s design has inherently excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and Ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, along with the superior strength of a neodymium magnet circuit. Designed to produce a healthy 250 watts into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD), the JD250/1 amplifier is a great solution for powering subwoofers in a cost-conscious system. JL Audio's proprietary NexD™ switching technology delivers large amounts of real-world power output with excellent efficiency and ultra-low distortion.
The JD250/1’s controls are located on the input panel. while the power and speaker connections can be found along the opposite end of its extruded aluminum chassis. Signal processing features include a 12 dB / octave low-pass filter, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz, and a variable bass boost EQ. Dual-range, differential-balanced inputs are also on-hand, capable of accepting line-level and speaker-level signals. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard, along with a set of preamp outputs so you can easily pass signals to another amplifier.
The JD250/1 is also equipped with an onboard LED-clipping indicator ring, surrounding the input sensitivity control. This useful feature lets you easily set your amplifier’s input sensitivity, quickly and accurately, without special equipment. Many people mistakenly believe that an oval speaker cannot perform as well as a round one, leading to many instances of 5.25-inch speakers being installed into 5 x 7-inch openings. JL Audio has put in the engineering time and effort to create fantastic-sounding speakers that drop into oval openings and deliver equivalent performance to our 6.5-inch (165 mm) round speaker systems... guaranteed. So, don't make the mistake of losing cone area and efficiency by stepping down to a smaller round speaker... these ovals are as impressive as our round format systems.

Targeted specifically for subwoofer applications, the XDM300/1 includes a variable slope low-pass filter with continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. With the addition of an optional HD-RLC or MHD-RLC (water-resistant) remote level controller (each sold separately), the amplifier's level can be adjusted directly from the driver's seat or captain’s chair.
Finished in a sleek, black powder-coat, all controls are protected beneath a gasketed, removable top cover for easy access.
