The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers now feature larger, double-stacked magnets that contribute more motor force for deeper bass and tighter bass control from the subwoofer cone compared to the previous generation. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion for cleaner bass output. A Kevlar-treated cone ensures durability in the subwoofer for reliable performance, even at high volumes.
A new polypropylene/ceramic composite dust cap ensures rigidity while also providing incredible internal damping (vibration absorption) to smooth out the bass response and reproduce tight bass. This premium, unique material also has higher heat reliability that ensures non- stop bass performance.
The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers contain a Dual Voice Coil (DVC) with easy configuration jumpers that allow for flexible applications. A new “EZ- Change” twist-lock grille mounting system makes it easy to install and remove an optional grille without mounting screws for added protection to the cone. The R2-W12D2 and R2-W12D4 is compatible with the KTE-12G Grille System (sold separately).

The enclosures were intentionally crafted to fit most full-size trucks. Two 8” subwoofers are preloaded into a compact enclosure for under the seat installation and linked with a ProLink bracket that can adjust from 51”-40”. Centered on the enclosures is an integrated amplifier mount tray that’s optimized for Alpine’s S-A60M Mono Power Amplifier (sold separately). These 6.5-inch speakers in the SPV-65X-WRA are tuned specifically for the JK’s in-cabin environment and fit into the factory speaker locations for an easy update that will impress your ears.
The SPV-65X-WRA comes with adapters that allow the speakers to be installed as a component set by mounting the tweeters into the tombstones of older JKs or onto the dash for newer JKs. For older JKs that have a sound bar, the adapters convert the speakers into a coaxial design so they can be installed into the sound bar.
Driving with the top off is part of the fun of owning a Wrangler, but sometimes you get caught off-guard with the top down and inclement weather. The SPV-65X-WRA is weather resistant and rated IP55, so it’s protected from limited dust ingress and low-pressure water spray from any direction.
