R-Series 8-Inch 350-Watt Subwoofer Driver, 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm Dual Voice Coil
Since the Type R platform, Alpine’s R-Series sound system family has been known for its incredible output and reliable performance. Now Alpine introduces the next-generation of sound performance with the 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers with even more bass output.
The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers now feature larger, double-stacked magnets that contribute more motor force for deeper bass and tighter bass control from the subwoofer cone compared to the previous generation. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion for cleaner bass output. A Kevlar-treated cone ensures durability in the subwoofer for reliable performance, even at high volumes.
A new polypropylene/ceramic composite dust cap ensures rigidity while also providing incredible internal damping (vibration absorption) to smooth out the bass response and reproduce tight bass. This premium, unique material also has higher heat reliability that ensures non- stop bass performance.
The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers contain a Dual Voice Coil (DVC) with easy configuration jumpers that allow for flexible applications. A new “EZ- Change” twist-lock grille mounting system makes it easy to install and remove an optional grille without mounting screws for added protection to the cone. The R2-W8D2 and R2-W8D4 is compatible with the KTE-8G Grille System (sold separately).
The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers contain Alpine’s High Amplitude Multi- Roll (HAMR) Surround Technology. This rubber surround allows the subwoofer cone to efficiently move air while staying cool. This technology allows for 20mm of total cone excursion and motion that creates incredible accuracy from the subwoofer.

W1-Series 10-Inch 300-Watt Subwoofer Driver, 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm SVC
The JL Audio 10" W1v3 subwoofer driver is a very suitable option when space is limited with smaller amplifiers. It features a low mounting depth of 4.6 inches and a compact motor structure that allows it to comfortably fit in tight mounting locations. There is no pole vent on the rear of the subwoofer which allows the motor structure to be placed directly against an enclosure boundary. Excellent excursion capability and linearity allow the 10W1v3 to reproduce sub-bass with shocking extension and quality.
The JL Audio 10W1v3 is best used with an amplifier in the 75W - 300W RMS range and is optimized to operate in a compact 0.55 cu. ft. (15.57 l) sealed enclosure.

TW1-Series 12-Inch 300-Watt Subwoofer Driver, 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm SVC
The 12" TW1 thin subwoofer driver by JL Audio has a shallow mounting depth while maintaining excellent excursion capability in a thin mounty chassis design to fit into an enclosure no bigger than (0.65 cu.ft. / 18.4 liters). This 12TW1 subwoofer is capable of operating in extremely tight spaces including under-seat installations in trucks and other automotive applications requiring a compact, low profile subwoofer design.
JL Audio's patented thin-line woofer technology utilizes a "concentric tube" structure built into the injection-molded cone body supporting the voice coil and spider. This patented design places the large motor structure further forward in the speaker than conventional thin subwoofer designs.
The JL Audio 12TW1 sub also features a chassis design that minimizes the top clearance required for the linear excursion limits of the subwoofer driver. This is accomplished by recessing the suspension attachment surface, so that most of the forward excursion occurs within the frame's dimensions. The 12TW1 requires only 0.87 inches (22 mm) of frontal clearance with or without the subwoofer grille installed.
The JL Audio 12" 12TW1-2 and 12TW1-4 subwoofer drivers are optimized for an enclosure much smaller than any other JL Audio twelve-inch subwoofer driver, it never sounds like a big woofer struggling in a tiny box...instead, it delivers all the rich, deep, controlled bass you have come to expect from a JL Audio subwoofer system.
Very shallow mounting depth (4.62 in / 117 mm)
No pole vent: permits mounting close to rear wall of enclosure
Extremely small sealed enclosure volume requirements
Long linear excursion capability (0.40 in / 10 mm, one-way)
DMA-optimized motor design
Patented "concentric tube" architecture
Patented "floating cone attach method" technology
