Applications

Jeep Cherokee, Chrysler 200, and Maserati: These vehicles must be equipped with a factory amplifier as the AP4 cannot reprogram the factory radio to think that an amplifier is present.

2018-2019 Super Duty Trucks can have either Sony or B&O systems to be compatible.
2019+ Mustang must have B&O System to be compatible. If the amp looks like the one pictured, it is compatible. The amp can be found in the driver's kick panel. If the system is amplified and not badged then the AP4 is not compatible as this is a completely analog system.

To verify the "IO" RPO code on your vehicle, check the glove compartment or spare tire well for a silver sticker with these codes. Toyota vehicle must be equipped with a JBL system. There must be an actual visible label that says JBL or JBL Synthesis. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory amplifier but does not say JBL, it is not compatible because the amplifier is analog and not digital.
Lexus vehicles must be equipped with a center channel and a subwoofer in order for the AP4-TY11 to be compatible:
Between 2012-2015 Toyota used two different styles of connectors. In order for the AP4-TY11 to be compatible, the radio must have the 20-pin BHA8113 style connector. Vehicles equipped with the 10 / 6-pin BHA1761 style connector are not compatible. The only way to know what connector the radio has is to physically remove it from the dash and look at it. Between 2012-2015 Toyota used two different styles of connectors. In order for the AP4-TY12 to be compatible, the radio must have the 10 / 6-pin BHA1761 style connector. Vehicles equipped with the 20-pin BHA8113 style connector are not compatible. The only way to know what connector the radio has is to physically remove it from the dash and look at it. Amplified Vehicles
Compatible with all data-bus controlled amplified systems, no matter the screen size. To identify these systems, look for logos on door speakers, tweeters, dash speakers or the subwoofer to confirm if the vehicle has a compatible amplified system: Alpine, Beats or Harman Kardon. Some vehicles may not always have branded compatible systems. Unbranded amplified systems are generally identified by locating a center channel speaker or subwoofer.
Non-Amplified Vehicles
All other models: Only compatible in vehicles equipped with the 7” or bigger screen. Vehicles equipped with the 5” screen are not compatible.
If you are installing the AmpPRO in a vehicle that is not equipped with a factory amplifier, you must add an amplifier to the vehicle's speakers, as the factory radio will no longer have a 4-channel variable output after it has been re-configured by the AmpPRO. For example, this will not work to add only a subwoofer to a non-amplified vehicle, as the radio will no longer power the cabin speakers properly.

The DMH-241EX is a new entry-level in-dash multimedia A/V receiver designed to improve in-vehicle entertainment and connectivity with your smartphone. Enjoy features such as built-in bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming, audio/video playback from USB, safety features such as backup camera ready and much more.
Pioneer's DMH-241EX is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPhone for music and video via USB. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the touchscreen. The system's wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1.5 amp of current to keep your iPod/iPhone charged.
Users of devices running Android OS version 4.0 or later can connect to the DMH-241EX and listen to music stored on the device without the need for an app. The process is made possible using Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), which allows the receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storage device. Operate basic functions like FF, REW, Play, Pause, Random Play, and Repeat and view metadata information such as track, artist, and album name.
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a bluetooth enabled phone to the DMH-241EX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered bluetooth device is in proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.
From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming (A2DP) with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and control audio (AVRCP profile), bluetooth wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient.
The DMH-241EX with bluetooth also includes superior call quality reception using Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Wideband Speech nearly doubles the bandwidth of frequencies of a normal bluetooth call (when compared to calls without Wideband Speech)
Back-up camera input enables you to add a reverse (rear facing) camera that can assist with rear visibility, towing, or parking.
Select from among five colors (blue/red/amber/green/violet) for the display and 112 different key colors to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting. Also choose from several background images to suit your mood.
